Ps Sam & Rachel
I give all glory to the name above every name, Jesus Christ, our King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and our Resurrected Savior. As we celebrated Easter this year, my heart was flooded with deep gratitude and awe. It brought back memories of the 12 years of pain and torment I endured before I encountered the power of Christ in my life—pain that seemed endless, like the woman in the Bible who suffered from a bleeding condition for twelve years. For over a decade, I was bound by physical and emotional suffering, enduring the torment of spiritual oppression. Like the woman who suffered from bleeding, I sought help from many sources, but nothing could heal or deliver me. I had tried everything, yet my condition grew worse with each passing day. I was weary, burdened, and hopeless—feeling like an outcast, desperate for healing but unsure of where to turn.
But then, through the grace of God, I encountered Jesus Christ, and everything changed.
Just as the woman with the issue of blood reached out in faith, knowing that if she just touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be healed, so did I. I, too, reached out in desperation, believing that if I could only encounter the Savior, He could heal me. And that moment came during an Easter service when I stepped into a church in Sydney AU, with my family, after traveling from Auckland NZ.
As soon as I entered the church, I felt the presence of the Lord like I had never felt before. Looking at the cross, I was overwhelmed with emotion. I fell to my knees, and with tears streaming down my face, I cried out, just as the woman had: “Lord, please do not let me leave this place the way I came. I am weary and burdened. I need Your healing touch.”
And in that instant, just as Jesus healed the woman, He healed me—breaking every chain, lifting every burden, and setting me free. The resurrection power of Jesus, the same power that overcame the grave, is the same power that reached down to lift me out of my despair and set me on a new path of freedom. He not only healed my physical and emotional pain but also delivered me from the spiritual oppression that had bound me for so long.
As a mother of two beautiful children and the wife of a wonderful husband, I stand today in awe of God’s mercy and grace. My family and I now walk in peace and joy, knowing that we have been set free by the blood of the Lamb.
Since that divine encounter, my family and I have been serving the Lord, standing as soldiers for Christ, and living out the purpose He has given us. I can never thank God enough for what He has done for me, my children, and my husband. We live in the freedom Christ bought for us, and we declare boldly: “Until our last breath, we will praise and glorify Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus.”
Our Savior has redeemed us. He chose us. He loved us. He forgave us. And He gave us a purpose and a calling in His kingdom. We are forever grateful for the power of the cross, the power of His resurrection, and the life-changing freedom He has given us.
“I will give You thanks, for You answered me; You have become my salvation. The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.”
– Psalm 118:21-23
